I'll be honest, I’m very awkward in front of the camera. If the thought of faking smiles and cheesy poses makes you cringe, then we're on the same page.

I'm all about those candid wedding photos – capturing you in the moment, as real as it gets.

I photographed hundreds of weddings in over 12 countries across three continents.

Big fat weddings? Been there. Intimate elopment? Done that.

Whatever the vibe of your celebration is, I've got the experience to match (more than 20 years as a photographer, to be precise).

I've been listed among the Top 50 Photographers and Top 10 Storytellers and I've been rocking those Best Photographer lists consistently since 2016 (Fearless Photographers, This is Reportage, ISPWP, WPJA).

Oh, and I've judged some of the biggest photography competitions around. Just saying!

Ever wonder how being an EMT and instructor can help in photography? It's all about staying calm under pressure.

After handling emergency situations, capturing your big day, no matter how chaotic, is a piece of (wedding) cake!

more about me

“Vibe Collector is simply the best. Vlad photographed both of our weddings, as well as events for quite a few other family members and friends, and the pictures are always stunning. He captures everything beautifully - from the obvious "big moments" to the hidden and candid ones. He is tremendously fun to work with, while also being very discrete. If you’re seeking a photographer who effortlessly combines talent, professionalism, and a genuine passion for storytelling, Vlad is the ideal choice.”

What is your experience as a photographer? How many weddings have you photographed?

I have been a photographer since film cameras were called just cameras. In more than 20 years of experience as a photographer, I photographed more than 200 weddings in more than 10 countries on 4 continents.

I have consistently ranked among the top photographers in the world (This is Reportage, Fearless Photographers, ISPWP, WPJA). I am a judge in several photography competitions and have been invited to speak at several conferences.

This is a long way of saying I’ve been doing this for a while and I’m competent.

How about your destination wedding experience?

I photographed numerous destination weddings, speak multiple languages and have run into most issues you'd expect: delays, plane cancellations, lost luggage, etc. I work with my clients to plan for all these contingencies.

I photographed in all types of weather scenarios as well: snowstorms, freezing weather, heatwaves and everything in-between.

On top of that, my background as a photojournalist allows me to quickly adapt and troubleshoot when things don't go as planned.

What is your style? Do we have to pose? Do you take portraits and group pictures?

My style is photojournalistic / documentary. I observe and photograph. I think your wedding day should be about you and your loved ones, not a long photo shoot with scripted and directed moments.

Neither myself or my couples are fans of posing for the camera, but I know that some family formals might also be important some day. That’s why I advise my couples to set aside a bit of time for those posed photos and I offer direction there.

Other than that, I want to offer you candid, relaxed and authentic images that tell the story of how you felt on your wedding day.

When will we be receiving the images?

My maximum delivery deadline is 2 months.

I always try to deliver before the deadline, but sometimes the season gets very busy and I’d rather you have realistic expectations. For weddings in the off season, delivery time can be as short as 2 weeks. For larger weddings or destination weddings, delivery time might be slightly longer.

Once the images are ready, you will receive an e-mail with a link to your photos and all the information you need.

Can we print our images? Can you do an album for us?

I believe that the only thing we should be printing in the digital age is photos. I’ve seen the importance of a printed image, and I’ve seen catastrophic hard drive failures with lost precious memories.

That’s why I encourage everyone to print the photos they love most. You get all the high-resolution files, so you can print yourselves.

Of course, not everyone knows where to start with high quality photo prints. For some people it might be too complicated or too time consuming, which is why I would gladly help you with prints or albums.

Should we get a second photographer?

Short answer – yes, but it’s not a must-have. A second photographer is always a great addition, no matter the size of your wedding. A good additional photographer will bring more variety, different angles, as well as allow better coverage if your wedding day is split across multiple locations.

I work exclusively with photographers I trust and whose style matches my own in order to provide a consistent level of quality for all the images.

At the same time, wedding day options are infinite and budgets are limited, so if you can make it work in your budget, yes, I recommend getting one.

Do we need photos for the getting ready part of the day?

Ideally yes. Most of my clients are not professional models and might not be used to the camera. A few extra hours of coverage early in the day means that you get comfortable with me, but also that I get some nice extra photos of immediate family, loved ones or people who are super important to you.

If you get ready separately, it will be nice to see what your partner was up to before you get to the ceremony.

What if you get sick or have an emergency?

I am part of an amazing community of talented wedding photographers who support each other in case of emergencies. I will do my best to find a suitable replacement if I get sick or have an emergency.

We'd like to work with you! How do we book you?

That's great to hear, thank you for your trust!

Once we sign the contract and I receive the booking fee (typically 35% of the balance due), I will officially be your wedding photographer (yey!).

Kindly keep in mind that the date is confirmed only after we've completed these steps.

Your interest in my work means the world to me, thank you!

In order to maintain the work standards that are so important to me, I photograph a limited number of weddings each year. Therefore, I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible to secure your date.

I make every reasonable effort to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours

My photography takes me to many places. Where is your event taking place?

How can I help you? If you're feeling particularly word-y, I would like to know more about you - maybe three things that make you YOU? Why me? If not, just the basics are fine :)

Freinds? Social Media? Search engines? Magic Monkeys?
